Congratulations Cicero-North Syracuse High Class of 2022!
Congratulations to the 634 graduates in the Cicero-North Syracuse High School Class of 2022 that recently walked across the stage at the New York State Fairgrounds Expo Center. 2022 is the first year that C-NS held its ceremony at the Fairgrounds and attendees were treated to a beautiful evening with lots of hugs and happy tears. The complete list of graduates and various selections of photos can be found on the NSCSD website at www.nscsd.org.
Thoughts from the Superintendent
We Truly are Brighter Together!
Three years ago in this newsletter I wrote my very first column as the NSCSD Superintendent of Schools. It is hard to believe how quickly those years have gone. I never could have imagined being faced with all that we have gone through and I want to thank you for your patience, support and perseverance.
In our newsletter this month, we are celebrating the past and looking to the future. On the cover and as the centerfold, we feature the Cicero-North Syracuse High School Class of 2022. This year’s commencement ceremony was held at the New York State Fairgrounds Expo Center...the first time our students have crossed the stage at that particular venue. The ceremony was beautiful and the location proved to be a fitting finale to our students’ high school careers.
I have tremendous pride in our staff and students. It is intensified when I think about the great things our District has to look forward to. We are on a journey together and it is an exciting one. In early June, we presented our five-year Strategic Plan document to the Board of Education and community. The development process has been highly collaborative with involvement and input from faculty, staff, Board of Education members, students and parents. Now that the plan has been unveiled, we will continue working together to ensure that the Plan becomes a living document to steer us.
The plan provides our school community with a renewed mission and shared goals to meet the needs of every student: To educate all students to the highest levels of academic achievement and prepare them to be productive, responsible, ethical, creative, and compassionate members of society.
Partnership and support are two critical components as we bring the Strategic Plan to life. To that end, in the near future, we will continue to seek your input and action so we can work together toward our mission, vision and goals. We are excited about the possibilities outlined in this collaborative document and we look very forward to sharing details with you. A glimpse of the Plan is provided below and on the following page.
Enjoy the rest of your summer! I look forward to seeing you and working with you soon!
