The A-G Student of the Week is Gabriel Brown,
nominated by Mrs. Slavinski.
Gabe has been very cooperative in class. He sees the importance of tuning out friends and paying attention in class to better his understanding. I love how he is a leader when it comes to classroom responsibility. - Lisa Slavinski
The H-O Student of the Week is Oluwasola "Sola" Olanubi,
nominated by Ms. Robinson.
Sola is just an all-around good kid! He represents the 3 "R's" well -- Responsible, Respectful, and Resilient. Watch out for this young man in the future! - Shannon Robinson
The P-Z Student of the Week is Tvesha Parekh,
nominated by Mrs. Widaski.
Tvesha is the 2nd period Front Office Aide. Every day, she walks in with a smile and greets everyone. She is the only office aide we have this period and we keep her super busy, especially with all the lunch detention slips. She never complains, and always keeps smiling. She is such a joy to have in our office every day! We really appreciate all of her hard work." - Rebecca Widaski

PBIS Donations
PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Here is a short video on how Classcraft works: https://youtu.be/M2uqd9ZOMaw. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
Parents if you are interested in donating to the PBIS school store the following list is a great start. We accept all donations both monetary and items.
We are excited to announce that H-E-B is a proud sponsor of the PBIS Store at Leaman.
If your company would like to sponsor the store, please contact Mr. Kracker, Mr. Gilmore or Ms. Session for more information.
