I hope everyone has had a great summer so far and a wonderful Fourth of July celebration! As I start to prepare for next school year, I cannot be happier with the attitude and charisma of our Mogadore Music students. I am looking forward to a productive and exciting new school year! The July Newsletter contains some reminders about the high school band’s summer schedule, band boosters, volunteer opportunities and upcoming events. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone if you have any ideas, questions, or concerns. I appreciate the dedication and support you, the parents and students have provided. Our next Music Booster Meeting will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 13. We will hopefully have the meeting in person. More information will be sent out as we get closer!

The Mogadore Music Department will be doing their sixth annual “tag day” on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 12:00 PM-1:30 PM. This year's event will be a bit different from year's past. Instead of walking the village, students will be writing messages, on Mogadore Music Program Post Cards, to our community members asking for support. Tags and thank you cards will be mailed back to anyone who donates to the program!

Please complete the Tag Day Survey below to indicate your student's participation. The boosters will again be providing pizza at the end of the Tag Day Event!

We hope that all students can attend as the proceeds for this event go directly towards supporting our music program! Report time is 12:00 PM. If you are interested in volunteering to assist students, please let me know!

We had some fantastic rehearsals this past week with the High School Band. I am so proud of our new 8th grade students who really demonstrated great skill, especially in the heat!

Monday, July 13- 8:00 AM-12:00 PM: Colorguard, Percussion, Woodwinds

Wednesday, July 15-8:00 AM-12:00 PM: Colorguard, Percussion, Brass

Friday, July 17-8:00 AM-12:00 PM: All Band Students Grades 8-12

Band Camp:

Monday, July 27-Friday, July 31- 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

As a reminder, students need to eat breakfast, hydrate with water, and make sure they bring water bottles to practice!
