Staff of the Week
Mrs. Voirin has been teaching for four years, with this year being her first at Verona. She attended Sabino High School. She is married to her husband Ryan, has a daughter named Zoey, a son named Hunter, and has one on the way! She loves getting to engage with students in various ways and helping them succeed in school. If she wasn’t an Art teacher, she would be researching history. Her hobbies include playing with animals, anything with water, and shopping. She loves that Verona is such a tight knit community, making it so much easier to get to know the students and families.
Student of the week
Antony Maize is a great representation of what makes our school great. He is a great role model for other students. He always finishes his work, he’s very respectful, and has a very friendly personality. His mother works as a teacher here at Verona, so what more could you expect from him? He plans on joining the military out of high school, but has a lot more time to think about what he wants to do. Antony lives at home with his mom, dad, two sisters, two dogs, and a cat. He enjoys playing all sorts of video games. He prefers to be outside and moving around when the weather permits. He likes running, and wishes running in the halls was permitted. He really likes being in Verona. He says most people are nice and cool.
