EDUCATORS OF THE WEEK
This week's Educator of the Week recipient is not limited to one person. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we are celebrating every single teacher in the District for all they do. Our teachers are fantastic and care greatly about all of their students and we want to recognize all of them because they are the reason our District is so special.
These dedicated educators work hard every day and they continually find ways to hone their skills so they can provide the best educational experience for the students who come through our doors every morning.
We talk about reaching every student, every day, by doing whatever it takes. The teachers of Marshfield embody this belief and we want to thank them for the amazing job they do day in and day out.
We are fortunate to have all of them on our team and we congratulate the educators of Marshfield on being named Educators of the Week. #WeRMarshfield
While we could not take a photo of every teacher, we were able to put together a little video, thanking them all for what they do. You can click on it below:

NEASC VISITING TEAM REPORT- MARSHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL
Marshfield High School hosted a New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Decennial Accreditation Team on March 5 – 8, 2023. The purpose of this visit was to review and determine from an outside professional viewpoint the extent to which our high school is aligned with the Standards for Accreditation. Below is a link to our NEASC Team’s final report that was delivered on May 3, 2023. We are sharing the document with you for informational purposes. The recommendations contained within will be one of the metrics we use when developing future school improvement plans. The NEASC Commission on Public Schools will review this document prior to their spring meeting in June, where they will vote on continuing our accreditation status for the next 10 years. We will inform you of their decision this summer.

He has served as an Assistant Principal in Chicago, the Principal of Randolph High School, and served as the Principal of Galvin Middle School in Canton for seven years before returning to Randolph as Principal in 2018.
In order to make the best decision possible for Marshfield High School, the Marshfield Public School District, and the Marshfield Community, we will be hosting a Marshfield High School site visit for each candidate as follows:
- Dr. William Conard - Tuesday, May 16th
- Ms. Amy Cetner - Thursday, May 18th
Each candidate will be led through the same schedule:
11:30-12:10 - tour of Marshfield High School

3:50-4:50 - meeting with Superintendent Granatino (MHS Principal’s Conference Room)
5:00-5:40 - parent/guardian/caregiver focus group (MHS Presentation Center)
We invite you to attend the appropriate focus group to meet each candidate and hear their responses to questions that were submitted in the original survey, and you are welcome to add more questions here. Due to time constraints, we may not be able to ask all questions, but will do our best to compile the responses to formulate a set of questions that will be posed to each candidate during the focus groups. (Please note that we will only have time for the pre-established questions.) At the end of each session, you will have the opportunity to provide feedback via an exit survey. Mr. Granatino will reflect on this feedback when making the final decision on which candidate will become the next Principal of Marshfield High School.
We appreciate your interest and patience as we navigate this exciting process.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ellen Martin
Assistant Superintendent
MHS Principal Search Committee Chair
MPSD INCREASES SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE
Over the past few weeks, the district has been growing our Facebook, Twitter & Instagram presence. There are so many wonderful things to share about our students and staff and we want to make sure we are getting that information out appropriately to our stakeholders.
This has been brought up over the years and we have heard from students, staff and our families that moving our social media footprint beyond just Twitter would better highlight the successes that occur across the district every day.
Below you will find information on what this entails along with links to our new social media pages. We hope you will follow us and spread the word. Please note that Twitter accounts that are currently being used by teachers and administrators may still remain, but the link below will be the official Twitter page for the district.

TRANSPORTATION UPDATE
We want to thank the many Parents/Guardians who have already registered for bus transportation for the 2023-24 school year. As has been explained in previous meetings, having an accurate and consolidated list of students who wish to ride the bus next year will allow us to maximize bus capacity and create more efficient bus routes. This in turn will potentially allow the District to move Marshfield High School to a later start time and our elementary schools onto one tier of transportation, eliminating the changing of start times every two years. We have heard from many stakeholders for some time regarding these two issues and we appreciate your understanding as we attempt to resolve them.
The previous email sent regarding the bus fee implementation detailed an additional $50 fee per student or an additional $100 for two or more students for those not registered by May 15th. After further discussion and reflecting on the goals of this process, we are no longer implementing the additional $50 fee per student. The cost of bus transportation for the 2023-34 school year will remain $180 per student or $360 for two or more students.
In addition, there has been some concern over the length of time given to register for next school year, so the deadline for registration is being extended to Tuesday, June 13th. The fee will not increase after June 13th, but anyone registered after the deadline will not be guaranteed a seat on the bus for next year and will be put on a waitlist, which may not be rectified until much later in the summer.
It is important to note that the sooner we have transportation numbers, the sooner we will be able to determine bus routes and consequently make any decisions regarding revisions to the start times at the elementary and secondary levels. This extension may delay this process as we move forward with these important decisions. We appreciate your understanding.
Please note that registration is expected to be completed for ALL STUDENTS, riding a bus or not. If you would like to confirm your registration, please log into your Aspen Family Account and view under “Bus Transportation Confirmed”. If the data indicates “2024”, “Waiver”, “No Transp.” or “No BusZone”, registration is complete as noted. Please be aware there may be a delay in processing confirmation.
Thank you and have a good day.

MAMMA MIA
So Sophie takes matters into her own hands and does some research. Finally, she finds three possible fathers- Sam (Bennet Regan), Harry( Joe Mamet) , and Bill (Alex Robinson). Thinking that she’ll be able to tell who her father is the moment she sees him, she invites all three to her wedding. But when they arrive, she discovers that it will be much harder than she thought!
We hope you can come and see this fantastic show being put on by the MHS Theatrical Society. The shows can be seen on the weekends of May 5th and May 12th at the MHS Auditorium.
