Parent's Edition - Fall 2019
Below are the tips the students learned about book care. Please note, leaking water bottles are the biggest culprit in damaged books.
Committed to Growth
Students are encouraged to work toward reading growth by setting a personal goal or participating in reading incentive programs. Grade level reading incentives are:
- Kinder students - 2x2 reading
- First graders - Caldecott reading
- 2nd graders - Mockingbird reading
- 3rd-5th - Bluebonnet reading
Additionally, all students can participate in Little Maverick Graphic Novel reading. Lower grades can also challenge themselves with another K-2 incentive, as well. Upper grade students create personal goals that they will work towards throughout the year. As students complete an incentive or reach a goal, we will be celebrate them.
