Exciting News: SCOIR for 8th-12th Grade Students
We are thrilled to introduce SCOIR, our new college and career planning platform, for students in grades 8 through 12. In addition, we are pleased to announce that our 8th-grade students have been granted access to SCOIR due to their enrollment in high school math and Arabic accredited courses this year.
All students from 8th-12th grade should have received an invitation email to activate their SCOIR accounts. This platform offers valuable tools for college planning and career exploration. We encourage all students to get started.
SCOIR provides resources for:
- College exploration.
- Activities, awards, and volunteering hours log.
- Efficient application management.
- Resume and portfolio building.
- Access to school advisors.
- Data and insights for informed decisions.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates on SCOIR and our commitment to student success.
TK - 5th Read-A-Thon:
We encourage all Tk-5th grade students to participate in an elementary-wide Read-A-Thon. We distributed Reading Logs to all students. These logs will be able to keep track of the "minutes" each student spends engaging with literature. Acceptable "minutes" include independent reading, reading stories with a loved one, bedtime stories, and online reading apps such as RAZ Kids. Parents will be asked to initial next to each entry on the log. At the end of the month, students with the most recorded "minutes" in each class will receive a prize that will include a book of their choice insha'Allah.
Book Donation Drive at CC Campus
The PTO is kicking off a book donation drive from October 16th-31st at the Clairemont Campus. If you would like to donate any new or gently used books, please bring them to the CC office. This is an excellent way to share your child’s favorite books with their classmates so they too can enjoy the stories your child loved to read. Parents may also purchase books at the upcoming Crescent Book Fair and donate them to their classroom libraries.
Book Fair:
We are one week away from Crescent Moon Book Fair at the Clairemont Campus. Please take a look at the Crescent Moon mini catalog for a sneak peek at some of the great book options that will be available. It’s vital that our children read stories with Muslim characters and themes as they grow. Families are welcome to purchase books, toys, and games for their own homes, or they can even donate them to our classroom libraries. We encourage parents to take part in the book fair and instill a love of reading within their child’s heart insha’Allah.
6th-10th Character Development and Leadership Program
We're excited to share an update on our Middle and High School Character Education and Leadership program. This year, our 6th-10th grade students have started a new elective called "Character Development and Leadership." We're using a national curriculum called "Character Strong," and we've added Islamic teachings like Hadiths and stories to strengthen our students' Muslim character. Our dedicated Character Development and Leadership (CDL) teachers have been working hard to make this program a success.
Two weeks ago, our 8th-grade students led a Friday morning assembly and organized a bake sale to raise funds for those affected by the earthquake in Morocco and Libya. Next week, our 7th graders are planning a fundraiser to assist the victims in Gaza. They will also lead the Friday morning assembly to express their support for the victims in Gaza and those affected by the earthquake in Afghanistan
We're proud of our students' growth and leadership skills, and we're grateful to our teachers for their dedication to this program.
Elementary Character Education Theme
Our Character Education theme for October is cleanliness. Our QIAS teachers have done a great job explaining the importance of cleanliness of mind, body, and soul to our young scholars. Please share your thoughts on the theme of cleanliness with your own children to deepen their learning of this important character trait insha’Allah.
AG Campus- Art Club
We are delighted to announce the launch of our after-school Art Club for students in grades 4th-8th, led by the talented artist Dalia Noureldin.

Staying Home When Not Feeling Well
To ensure the well-being of our school community, please keep your child at home if they show flu-like symptoms. If a student has had a fever, we kindly ask that they wait for 24 hours after the fever has gone away without using fever-reducing medication before returning to school.
Your cooperation in following this guideline helps us maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and support.
