Field Trips- December field trip payments are now past due. Please try to get caught up as soon as possible. Please reach out if you need to know what you owe.
Picking Up Students- Please remember to bring your car tag every time that you come to pick up your child. This is for car line or for walker line.
Cooler Days-The days are getter colder. Please be sure to send a jacket to school with your child each day. (Write his/her name on the tag!)
Food Drive- Our school will be participating in a food drive from now until December 13th. Please donate non-perishable items if you can.
Illness-Our little class has picked up every bug/illness that's out there. Please remember that your child has to be fever free (no meds) for 24 hours before attending school. Also, it is a good idea to wash reusable water bottles every single night. We are going to ramp up our classroom cleaning so that we can try to keep everyone healthy over the next few weeks. We could really use more Clorox wipes to help with this. If your child has to be out, please send in an absence note that day that he/she returns to school.
Old News, but still important....
Tardies- Please make sure that your child is on time for school each morning! Tardies are becoming a problem. The bell rings at 7:50. All students should be in the class before then so that they can get settled in to begin their day. If you are having a hard time getting your child to school on time please reach out to discuss your options. I am sure that we have spaces on the buses that go by your house in the morning.
Folders/Planners- Please continue to check, sign, and clean out the planner each night. Look over and discuss any graded work. Take all graded papers out of the folder and keep them at home. (The spelling sheet should remain in the folder ALL week.)
Can you read your child's planner? If not, please have a conversation with him/her. We write down the homework together each day. They should have the information in the correct boxes and it should be legible.
Water Bottles- Please only send PLAIN water in water bottles. Do not send juices or flavored water. We have had a lot of flavored water spills to clean up lately.
Field Trip Payments- There are three payment options. The first payment was due Sept. 1st. Please be sure to stay caught up on your payments.
One payment of $60- Due Sept. 1st
Two payments of $30- Due by Sept. 1st and Dec. 1st
Six payments of $10- Due the first day of each month September -February
Dojo- I hope you will check Dojo frequently for classroom news and updates.
Snack- Please be sure your child brings a small snack (just one) and a water bottle to school each day.

Our third-grade team is raising money to put books in the hands of our students. One of the biggest joys of teaching is seeing a student fall in love with a book. We hope to be able to send home at least one book each month with every student in our grade. Growing lifelong readers is the goal âand your contribution will help do just that!
