Sponsor Spotlight: Ludus
Performing arts groups across the country are struggling to rebuild programs and put themselves into a place financially where they can continue to offer opportunities. Even before the pandemic, many programs were already stretched to their limits in time and money. Selling tickets, managing a box office, collecting fees, selling merchandise, getting “butts in seats” and raising money to allow your group to operate dominate so much time and energy. Now, more than ever, we need to find ways to consolidate the many things we do in order to focus on what we love…creating art! Ludus, working with directors, educators and artists has created something that will help.
Ludus started as a side project for a theatre director in October 2013 when they needed a better way to sell tickets online. With specific needs of low or no fees, transparent reporting, and a system easy to learn and maintain, Ludus was developed from the ground up. With each step, care was given to create something that made the life of the theatre staff and their patrons easier. Within a few weeks, that theatre had sold $40,000 worth of tickets and a clear business opportunity arose. Ludus is used now used by 2,000+ performing arts programs across the country...
