Google Books and the Benefits of eBooks

Today's Tech Tip Tuesday will cover the following:

What Can You Do with Google Books?

With Google Books, you can read books and magazines, download them, cite them and translate them! Some books are provided by publishers, while others are scanned as part of the Library Project

Advanced Book Search

Using Google Books' Advanced Book Search, you can specifically look for books that are "Full view only" or are available as ebooks. You can also specify the type of source such as book, magazine, and/or newspapers. Advanced Book Search allows you to search by title, author, or even certain words or phrases. Use "My library" Feature

After going to Google Books, you will be able to access your own personal library of all free and purchased downloaded books.

Use Google Play to Purchase or Rent

Google Play gives you access to hundreds of books and textbooks that are either free or can be purchased and/or rented.

Student Access to the Free Books and More!

Students can use Google Books and Google Play to find books to read, textbooks to rent, and much more access to a variety of different types of literature and print texts.
