One of the tools you could make sure of is a plunger rod to get the blockage out. This may take more effort since you would need to tug, pull, turn and twist. If you do not have a plunger, you could also use a mop to twist and turn. Though this might not be as effective and efficient as a drain rod but it will get the job done.
The last step to solve blocked drains problems is to flush the sediments out of the drain. This could be possible by using water to flush all of them out. Make sure to flush out all the debris. This could help end the problem.
