Principal's Message
Dear Families,
There is so much going on at Yowell this week. Check out our newsletter to get all the specific details for each event. Yowell will celebrate Read Across America Week. Follow along with what is going on with the #yesweread. Each day we will have a different spirit day. Monday: Wear your best athletic/team attire! Reading is exercise for the brain. Tuesday: Wear Stripes, much like Camila in "A Bad Case of Stripes" Wednesday: Wear a shirt you might find or wear on vacation. "Reading is a passport to countless adventures." Thursday: Hat Day, Check out "The Hat" by Jan Brett. Friday: Pajama Day, cozy up with a good book. The last day to order Field Day t-shirts is Friday. Please contact your child's teacher or the office if you need a new order form. The BOOK FAIR is this week! Your student will be able to shop and browse during their library day or Wednesday evening until 6pm.

With winter approaching, we must prepare for the possibility of inclement weather. The decision-
making process for closing schools for inclement weather is complex with the safety of our students
and staff as our top priority. In the event of a 2-hour delay breakfast will not be served. Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about weather closings/delays...
Transportation: Morning update document
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
