Kennedy Family Update
March 20, 2023
From the Principal
Spring is the air and we are all looking forward to change in seasons.
Next week is our spring musical, SHREK! Tickets may be purchased here. We are so excited about the show!
Please help us reinforce these school-side expectations:
Students need to arrive at school with a fully charged Chromebook each day. Students have become inattentive to this school expectation and we need your help to remind your student(s) to fully charge their Chromebook each evening.
We have also seen an increase in gum and candy in the building. Some students have attempted to sell gum and candy to other students. Students have been reminded that gum and candy are not to come to school per the handbook. Sharing candy/food is not permissible as it is a safety concern related to allergies. Students are not sell items during the school day with the exception of approved fundraisers. Please help us by reviewing these expectations with your student(s). Students who continue to bring these items to school will receive consequences.
We are very excited about upcoming Health and Fitness Day. Please see the information below if you would like volunteer.
Important Upcoming Dates:
- Shrek!: March 31 and April 1
- April Vacation: April 17 - 21
- ELA MCAS: April 11 and 12
- Math MCAS: May 17 and 18

National Junior Honor Society News
The Kennedy National Junior Honor Society would like to thank Rachel Hayward, Warren Magee, and Jonathan Spiller who work at the ARC of Massachusetts for their presentation on Building Relationships Between People with and Without Disabilities. The presentation explained why friendships are critical for all of us and they provided us with strategies and techniques for building relationships with students and adults with disabilities.
Health & Fitness Day
Our annual Health & Fitness Day is April 14th! We are always looking for new ideas if you/someone you know works in health, fitness or wellness related field and would like more information about volunteering please email catherinelashombe@walthampublicschools.org .
