Brighter Bites at Andrews Elementary is Thursday, October 7th. Gator families can drop by Andrews between 10:30 am-4:30 pm to pick up a box of fruits and vegetables.

The City of Austin’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management puts together a preparedness calendar every year. Last year, they changed the calendar to include artwork from kids. They are repeating that this year and doing an art contest for elementary school kids in grades 1st-5th grades

Begin with the End in Mind - Have a Plan

This month we're focusing on Habit 2. It teaches students to not only set goals in life but to have a plan to reach those goals as well.

While students practice setting goals at school, parents can reinforce this habit at home too.

Here are some things you can try:

1. Plan ahead
2. Set goals
3. Set action steps
4. Celebrate success

Communities in Schools (CIS) at Andrews Elementary is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! Families are encouraged to submit folklore mirrors in celebration. For more information, please see the papers sent home by Program Manager, Marianna Martinez.

Beginning Tuesday, October 12, ESL Classes will be offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-11:30 am at Andrews Elementary. More information will be given soon.
