SPEECH & DEBATE
Senior Madina Band-Ali placed 8th overall in Poetry and
freshman Amy Qafoku placed 9th overall in Dramatic Interpretation.
They competed against students from 25+ schools in the greater St. Louis region that includes schools from as far away as Jefferson City and Columbia.
This was the first year that Madina and Amy competed in Speech & Debate events, which makes their success even more amazing. It was a very tough competition from the best of the best in our region, and these students represented AHS very well. The future looks bright for our Speech & Debate team!
