Randolph Families,

The FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL is upon us! We cannot wait to welcome you tomorrow morning beginning at 7:45am. We are looking forward to an awesome year!

Many students will take the bus, but those who are car riders, please come through Lane 1 and Lane 2 for drop off and pick up. Staff will be outside to assist families in the morning and afternoon.

Car Arrival: 7:45-am - 8:00am *please wait for staff to come out to the car lanes before letting students out of the car.
Car Dismissal: Begins at 2:30pm (*please expect delays the first few weeks). Please DO NOT arrive prior to 2:15pm to line up for car pickup. Please display your yellow car tag at dismissal. If you missed Open House, your child's yellow car tag will be sent home in their backpack tomorrow. All students are receiving car tags this year. If you are not typically a car rider, please keep these tags in a safe place.

Please remain in your cars and staff will greet students and help them get where they need to be. Visitors will not be allowed down to classrooms on the first day of school or throughout the year during the school day. Once our day has started, visitors will only have access to the classroom if you are a cleared volunteer and the teacher is expecting you. There will be staff on hand to help students bring their supplies to their classrooms if you were unable to attend the Open House.

Remember to arrive at bus stops 10-15 minutes before the assigned times and be prepared for delays. If you have a routing question or concern, please contact transportation directly. We are aiming to have our buses leave Randolph at 2:30pm each day.

Please send all transportation changes to roadrunners@glnd.k12.va.us by noon, so that we can ensure your child takes the correct transportation home. Please call the school if you need anything at all. We can't wait to welcome everyone back in the morning!

Welcome Back! The PTA has been busy planning a year full of exciting events to benefit both the Students and the Teachers! We hope you got to enjoy the Ice Cream Truck at the Back to School night on Thursday. We loved seeing all the returning students and meeting the new Families!

We hope that you join the PTA this year! We have 3 scheduled meetings. Please join us for our first meeting, October 12 at 7:45am, in the library! We will have coffee and a light breakfast ready. If you can’t make the meetings, you can still join the PTA and Support RES through the link on the Flier provided.

Check out our new RES Spirit Wear, also linked in the flier! Students and Parents can order fun RES merchandise, and items are shipped directly to your home! Best Part, you are also supporting your school!

YOU ROCK! Last year, our Rent the Rock Fundraiser was such a huge success, so we have decided to get an additional ROCK (coming soon) thanks to the help of one of our very own Roadrunner families. This is a fun way to show support for your student. Please check the link on the flier to reserve your week and pay the $25 fee. This is a popular fundraiser and dates are usually reserved fast. Guidelines for this fundraiser are listed on our website!
