Bonham High School Board Report
January 18, 2023

Teachers, Students and Mindsets
At Bonham High School, the movement toward a growth mindset continues to be seen in our student body, propelling them toward academic and extracurricular excellence. Our students are approaching challenges as opportunities for growth, understanding that their abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. Whether tackling complex mathematical problems, refining their artistic talents, or mastering a new language, Bonham students developing an attitude of persistence in the face of adversity. With this persistence, the knowledge that setbacks are merely stepping stones on the path to success is becoming more common place, and as such, their commitment to continuous improvement has in and of itself improved! I have recently seen students becoming even more supportive and collaborative, thus lifting up their peers, and inspiring one another to not be good today, but to BE GREAT! Through their collective embrace of a growth mindset, the students of Bonham High School are demonstrating an understanding that intelligence and talent are not fixed traits but rather qualities that can be nurtured and expanded through perseverance and resilience.

Our 12 Superiors will go to State UIL in May in Austin to represent Bonham ISD. All 16 students performed Class 1 pieces which are the most challenging. Congrats BHS Choir!!!
