Weekly Wrap-Up #38

JUNE!!! Where did this school year go? Only 9 days to go and the year end activities continue to pile up. This past week, we had our Pre-K Orientation, MAP Assessments, Field Days, 4th Grade Musical Performances, and 5th Grade LVMS Picnic! This next week plans to be no different as we have several events such as Kindergarten Orientation, 5th Grade Field Trip, 5th Grade Musical Performance, and more MAP Assessments for our 4th and 5th grade students.

Again, another shout out to Mrs. Postigo and the 4th Grade students for their wonderful performances last week. Mrs. Postigo arranged for two performance last week, one which was for our Grades K-3 students during the day and another performance at night for the community. Both were excellent and a great opportunity for our 4th grade students to show off all their musical sides! Thank you to all the students and a special thanks to Mrs. Postigo for all the hard work organizing and getting our students ready for their performances!

Monday, June 12th- School Spirit Day- Wear Red, White, and Blue or your Cucinella gear!

Wednesday, June 14th and Thursday, June 15- Half Day for students.

Thursday, June 15th- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Our back to back field days were a great success and the students had an absolute blast. Thank you to all the PTO volunteers for your time, energy, and motivation on the fields. Thank you to all the teachers for helping to make everything go so smoothly. Thank you to our 5th grade ambassadors for helping run the stations for our students. Huge thanks to Ms.Erbe and Mrs. Schiess for two awesome field days! They both spent a lot of time planning to make both field days an enjoyable one and always create new and special stations each year!

Attention parents of our incoming Kindergarten students, if you have registered your child for kindergarten, we will be holding our Kindergarten Roundup on Monday & Tuesday, June 5th & 6th. The roundup will last approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. There will be two session, one at 8:30 and another at 10:30. During this time, the incoming students will participate in a variety of activities with our Kindergarten staff. These activities help us to learn more about them as students and individuals.

While the students are off having fun with their teachers, the parents will be meeting with Mr. Perruso, Mr. Serfozo, Mrs. McCool, and Nurse Ewer so that we can provide you with an overview of Kindergarten and additional information you may need as your child embarks on his/her journey into education! We are looking forward to seeing you.

Dear Families,

It’s that time of year again…when everything is due back at the library!

• Starting Tuesday, May 24th, no materials may be checked out of the library, unless you need books for a school project.

• We will still have Library Technology classes.

• Friday, June 2nd ALL books are due back in the library, unless you need them for a school project.

• If you cannot locate your library books they will need to be replaced with a NEW copy of the same title. Please contact Mrs. McCarty for details at pmccarty@wtschools.org.

Even though the library will be closed for the summer, you should never stop reading! There are many opportunities this summer to enjoy good books.

• Visit the Washington Township Public Library and sign up for their Summer Reading Program.

It's that time of year! We are looking to get our incoming Kindergarten students registered for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have a child who will be five years old on or before October 1st, 2023, please register for kindergarten. Early registration allows us to plan for the appropriate class size for the upcoming school year. We are hoping to have students registered by February 18th. Please follow this LINK to register your child for Kindergarten. More information can be found on the BAC Home Page. If you need assistance, please contact the Main Office at 908-850-3161.

The lost and found is housed directly outside of the Main Office, and we are happy to help students if they are looking for something in particular. Thanks again to Mrs. Inskeep for keeping this updated and accurate. The next step of integration is we now exclusively use PickUp Patrol for recording your child's absences. Please click here to review how to use the program to record absences.

The absence line which was previously used to record absences has now been disconnected.

Our secretaries and nurse are no longer checking phone messages for absences. This information is now handled exclusively through the PickUp Patrol app. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to integrate this new attendance management system.
