In celebration of National School Library Month I have introduced the Reading Without Walls Challenge to our K-4 readers. The Reading Without Walls challenge was developed by our National Ambassador for Young People's Literature,
Gene Yang. In essence, readers are encouraged to explore a diverse range of literature. This optional challenge will continue through the end of the school year.
In addition to reading diverse texts, students are also encouraged to share their literary choices on our Reading Without Walls Padlet page. This virtual wall will allow readers to share their literary choices, express themselves on a common topic, collaborate with other readers, and inspire each other to explore a diverse range of literature. Fourth graders have learned how to AppSmash (the process of using multiple apps to complete a project or task) and are experienced at adding Vocaroo files to their Padlet entry. Feel free to check out Vocaroo and add a recorded message to your Padlet post!
