January is School Board Appreciation Month!
1/16: MLK Jr. Day of Service! This is a school day for students and staff.
1/20: Academy 4 Friday for Fourth Grade
1/23-1/27: Holocaust Remembrance Week
1/30: Student Holiday
2/1: Day of Drumming In-School Field Trip for all students!
2/2: Donkey Day!

Toys from Home
Occasionally, teachers allow students to bring a small item from home as a class reward. Please be sure that the item your child brings follows the guidelines set by the teacher. Teachers will communicate class reward and guidelines through their class newsletters or through Skyward Message center.
If it is not a class reward day, please keep all toys and items that are not essential for the school day at home. Items can become distractions for your child and/or the class.Thank you for helping us to keep the focus on student learning.
A Message from Counselor Wyatt!
Happy 2023 to everyone at Bertram Elementary. We look forward to a successful year. This year, we encourage you to show self-compassion as you think of your New Year’s Resolutions. When we show compassion for ourselves, we allow space for changes, mistakes, or missteps and we open ourselves up to future possibilities. Showing self-compassion is a healthy way to start a successful and happy 2023.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
On Monday, January 16th, students will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr Day by engaging in special service projects to give back to our community and school. Each grade selected a project that would be meaningful to their students. We will be posting picture of each project on our Facebook page and website. Teachers will be communicating with families if the project requires permission to leave campus.
Class Parties - February 14
Our Valentine's Day class parties will be on Tuesday, February 14th. Party times are set by grade level. Parents are invited and will need to check in at the office with the event ticket that will be sent home the week prior. Family members arriving without an event ticket will need to check in at the office with photo ID.
