December Update
November was another great month at Kingston Jr./Sr. High School. I have so much to be thankful for and a lot of great things happened again this month. Mr. Wagnitz and the Band students had another successful pie fundraiser. The students along with their family members, alumni, and Mr. Wagnitz sold and made a couple hundred pies. The money from this fundraiser will be used to buy band equipment. Mrs. Wolverton and her cheerleaders organized a food drive to help out local families during the holidays. The Class of 2024 collected the most food and were treated to a pizza party for their efforts. The Junior class went on a college visit to Mott and U of M Flint in November. This was a great opportunity for our students to explore a different college campus and to explore post graduation options. With these three activities that I highlighted in November, it makes me proud that these students had fun and enjoyed them. But most of all I am proud that these three activates taught our students life lessons of hard work, giving back to the community, and planning ahead for the future.
As we move into December, we have a lot going on with the start of the winter sports season. We also have many clubs that are active or prepping for their season. Clubs that are active during the winter months include powerlifting, RC, yearbook, and robotics. If you would like more information about any of these clubs please contact the high school office. Another major event that we have going on this month is the Christmas Concert put on by our elementary and high school band. This is always one of highlights of the holiday season. Mr. Wagnitz does an amazing job organizing this event. This event is open to the public and will be held on December 7th at the elementary cafeteria.
I hope everyone has a great December and holiday season. Enjoy the time with family and friends.
