- The daily COVID screening form must be completed for all in-seat students by 8:00 a.m. each morning. Per Dr. Morillo's communication on September 24, be aware that if the COVID health screening is not received, your child will be asked to wait in a supervised location until we receive the necessary confirmation that the health screening has been completed. Only then will they be able to proceed to class.


- A reminder to parents/guardians to please keep the school abreast of any health concerns (both students and their families), recent travel, and the like. Communication and collaboration between home and school are essential to keeping the community-at-large safe. As communicated in the September 4 Weekly Update, while in-seat students do not have the option to work virtually due to absences for personal matters or illness, Administration has the discretion to make exceptions based upon specific circumstances.


- The next meeting of the Mountain View Parent Council is Friday, October 9. Please contact your grade level council members should you have any items for discussion.


- Mountain View Middle School will recognize the Week of Respect from October 5 - 9. See the flyer below for more information.

It's Harvest Hustle time!

Don't miss your chance to earn Student Council Spirit Points for your child's grade during the HARVEST HUSTLE!!! Make sure you sign up for the run, which is virtual and can be done anywhere you are during the month of October. Students will earn extra Spirit Points for their grade level by participating and getting their friends and family to sign up for their grade level team.

Update from Mrs. Lanka

In Advisory today, students spent time playing a "Mt. View Trivia" game. In the spirit of friendly competition, they answered questions that tested their knowledge of all things Mt. View. Questions included some of the following: what is the name of our lion mascot, where did a certain teacher go to college, how do you earn spirit points for your grade, etc. These activities build social awareness and a positive school community, helping all students feel included and connected to each other and their teachers.

In addition, students reviewed an important PSA from our Student Council explaining how his/her participation in this year's virtual Harvest Hustle will lead to spirit points for his/her grade!
