Guiando Buenas Decisiones Parenting Workshop! Orcas Island Spanish Speaking Families


The Funhouse, in collaboration with the Coalition for Orcas Youth will be hosting a parenting workshop called Guiando Buenas Decisiones, or Guiding Good Choices, for Spanish-speaking parents, beginning Nov 5. Contact trillium@thefunhouse.org for details and signing up!


This is a 5-week zoom-based program which uses a curriculum that was designed by the University of WA and utilizes the social development strategy to help parents create opportunities for bonding and promote clear standards for behavior, in order to reduce drug use and other risky stuff.


An experienced facilitator from WWU will be leading it, Ana Maria Martinez, assisted by two Orcas parents, Pamela Jimenez and Flor Orantes. We are working to get an english version of Guiding Good Choices delivered in January 2021.
