Our Mineral Point Middle School Track & Field Team had a very successful State competition Saturday at Waupun! Congrats to all! (Placings below are for their respective divisions)

Our Civics team competed at the 3rd annual Wisconsin Civics Games at the State Capitol in Madison! The team qualified for the State completion for the first time in school history. Comprising the team at State were Tyler Nordstrom, Abel Logue, Griffin Albaugh, and Bobby Allbright (Matthew Goninen was unable to compete due to conflicts). They also had the opportunity to hear from Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul. They were among 62 students from 13 schools across the state who participated in the competition, after advancing from a field of 166 during regional contests held virtually last month. The games were presented by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation.

A big congrats to our #PointerNation Golf team that claimed its 8th straight SWAL Conference Championship Tuesday! What an accomplishment! Alex Ross was named the Conference MVP with Carson Kroll and Reid Acherman joining him on the All-Conference First Team. Earning Second Team honors were Eli Lindsey and Drew Aschliman. Great job, all!

A big congrats to our Boys Dodge-Point Track & Field team which claimed the SWC Conference Championship Tuesday for the second year in a row, this year sharing the honor with Platteville! The Dodge-Point Girls team finished 3rd. Kudos also go out to our individual conference champions listed below!

3rd grade had an amazing day full of adventure and learning! Students got to explore and learn all about the history and science of Cave of the Mounds National Natural Landmark. Such a great opportunity so close to home!

2nd grade’s monthly trip to the Mineral Point Public Library looked a little different along the route this month. Please keep supporting the downtown businesses during construction as they continue to support us!

Our MPHS Key Club organized another fantastic Community Service Day! Thanks to all of our high school students and staff for rolling up their sleeves to help our community and schools.

Our Middle School's Kindness Club is promoting and creating a culture of kindness in our school. Each week we will be giving a 'shoutout' to students caught being kind. Congrats to Liam Olson! Said Mrs. Grutz, "Liam always is so helpful. I asked if he would take a package up to the office for me and he did. He delivers staff packages and is proud of it." Thank you Liam for showing kindness towards others at Mineral Point Middle School.

What beautiful weather to be outside! Kindergarten learned outside, played outside, and even ate lunch outside.

The High School Choir went on its spring Goodwill Tour last week, spreading sounds of joy to area nursing home residents, businesses, and our elementary students!

The Student Book Budget Team's latest order is trickling in! Our readers can't wait to get their hands on these new high interest titles. So much excitement!

For Staff Appreciation Week, Seniors were given the opportunity to write a note of thanks to a staff member that has had a profound impact on their life. Each hand-written note was accompanied by a handmade wooden ornament donated by the Mineral Point Excellence in Education Endowment Fund, crafted by Wayne Banaszak. Thank you for such a touching tribute to our staff!
