Honor A Veteran
In honor of Veterans Day, Corbett High School would like to pay tribute to those who have served our country by publishing a “Veterans Wall of Honor” to honor veterans that have a connection to Corbett High School and Corbett’s community.
If you know a veteran that lives in Corbett and/or has a connection to a current student at Corbett High School, please submit their information using this Google Form so we can create a Veterans Wall of Honor in the high school during the week of Veterans Day.

School-Based Mental Health: Parent & Community Nights
This Thursday, the school-based mental health team will host their first parent and community night, Screen Addiction and Social Media, at the SBMH office in the Corbett Commons building (36039 Historic Columbia River Hwy, Corbett, OR 97019). Childcare will be provided for children 5th grade and younger.
Soccer (Girls)
The girl's soccer team finished their last game this past Monday against Riverdale. The team went up 1-0 with a penalty kick by Ellie Mason, but let in two goals in the second half to lose 2-1. The game was played with monsoon-like rain, as players were blinded by torrential rains, and the ball would completely stop in puddles of water. We had multiple chances in front of goal that weren't finished because of these conditions, as the team played great and should have won.
The overall season had a similar trajectory, as this team had a ton of talent but had to deal with numerous injuries and illnesses throughout the season. This caused players to change roles, as the team had to adjust tactically to the adversity. The team was a great group to work with and we will truly miss all the incredible seniors who have been a part of this program for years. We wish all of them the best!

Football
The football team celebrated their seniors, Gunner Fullerton, Maddox Leith-Ross, Erich Haley, Mac Garrett, Tyler Joy, and Johannes Aspvik, before the game on Friday. In front of a homecoming crowd under the lights, the football team played a great first half against Clatskanie, leading 14-12. After a tough second half, the team lost 14-31. The Cardinals will finish their season with an away game against Toledo. (Photo credits: Jim Johnson)
Cross Country
Cross country hosted their first home event in a long time, the Zombie Relay. While it was a Corbett-only event this year, they plan to invite other schools to the 2024 event. Coach Rondema described the event as "... so much fun. I have a feeling this event may become a yearly tradition." The race was won by the team of Jesse, Ethan, Willem and Logan A. The best team costumes were undoubtedly those worn by Ellie, Malena, Olivia and Joey, and a special mention for costumes goes to Jack.
The team travels to Valley Catholic Beaverton for Districts on Tuesday, October 24.
The team ran in torrential rain on Monday (post-training run pictured).
