PBIS at GMS - What is Motivation Monday?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Support. PBIS is a state mandated effort and schools still have the flexibility to make it their own to serve the needs of their own staff and students. PBIS is all about supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. When implemented successfully, PBIS improves social emotional competence, academic success, and school climate. One way we tackle our PBIS framework is through Motivation Monday lessons.
Motivation Monday lessons are facilitated during intervention on Mondays in which we are in session. Lessons are created by members of the PBIS committee which includes twelve students and eight staff members.
These lessons provide the opportunity to have critical conversations with groups of students about things they face daily, how they can make a positive impact, and the importance of maintaining the best learning environment possible here at GMS.
Families are always welcome to access, review, and discuss these lessons at home as well through accessing the lessons on our website under the PBIS tab: https://sites.google.com/grahamlocalschools.org/gmspbis/motivation-monday
Congratulations to our Quarter 2 Honor Roll Students!
Recycling Closed Tomorrow, 1/20
The recycling center at Graham Middle School will be closed on Saturday, 1/20 due to expected temperatures which are likely to be in single digits with a below zero wind-chill.
We do not wish to subject any volunteers or patrons to this weather.
Thank you for understanding and please share with others who you know use the recycling center.

Miss the Fall 2024 DC Trip Info Meeting?
Anyone who missed the DC Informational meeting can obtain a trip information packet outside the office. We anticipate falling into quote criteria 1 or 2 as we have in the past, however we cannot determine that until we know numbers for the trip. The more people go on the trip, the less expensive it is. Also for those considering to chaperone, often the price is very close to student price.
Please feel free to ask questions to Mr. Wagner or Mr. Guidera
Stay up-to-date on Student Grades with Progress Book
Frontline Education has released the ProgressBook Parent and Student Mobile App (aka ParentAccess app) to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This app is available for your parents/students to download and use now. For those that choose to download, the app takes the place of the mobile web version of ParentAccess that parents and students have long used. In addition, Frontline has produced an overview video that can be shared with your users (video link is also in the attached instructional sheet).
