Talent Show Registration 2022

The Blair Oaks Elementary and Blair Oaks Intermediate Schools' Talent Show will take place on Friday, May 13, 2022! Grades K-2 will perform at 9:00 AM and Grades 3-5 will perform at 1:00 PM. The Talent Show will take place in the High School Auditorium. It is optional and not required.

Please fill out the Google form below if your student would like to participate in the Talent Show! The form is due to by Friday, April 8, 2022, no late submissions accepted. Please fill out the form completely and read carefully! Once the form is completed and submitted, you will get a confirmation email. A video of your student's talent must then be submitted or they will not be able to perform in the Talent Show. When choosing a talent, keep in mind that the show will be held on a stage in the Auditorium. *No pets will be allowed in the talent show.

Students entering grades K-8 in the 2022-2023 school year
Students entering grades 6-8 choose their class preference
Mondays - Thursday (No Fridays)
Session 1 (June 1 - June 15) and Session 2 (June 16 - June 30)
Free enrollment. Only the cost of breakfast and lunch.

Driver's Education

Must be 15 years of age by June 15, 2022
Dates: June 1, 2, 6, 7, 8
Requirements of 30 hours of class work time and 18 driving hours (driving hours are scheduled separately from the dates listed above)
Fee: Blair Oaks Residents - $45
Fee: Non-Resident - $100
Cost of breakfast and lunch
District students receive priority enrollment thru April 18, 2022 - $45
Open enrollment, including out of district students, thru May 6, 2022 - $100
Processed on a first come, first served basis

High School Physical Education

Dates: June 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16
Students missing more than one day will not receive credit

Introducing the New BIS Principal for the 2022-2023 School Year ~ Tracey Burns

It is with great pride that I introduce myself as the next Principal of Blair Oaks Intermediate School for the 2022-2023 school year. I am incredibly honored and excited for this opportunity. I have been with Blair Oaks for the last 7 years serving as the District Director of Curriculum and Assessment. The absolute best part of my job is when I get to work directly with students and teachers, so I am thrilled to be able to do that every day.

I am a mom to 3 wonderful kids: Karysn (11), Eli (4), and our newest baby, Maya, who just turned 2 months old. My husband is a teacher and a coach at South Callaway School District. Though our calendars are pretty busy, we love playing/watching sports, being outside, and spending time with family and friends.

Blair Oaks is filled with wonderful families and I look forward to getting to know all of our students and parents, as well as spending more time with our amazing teachers. I am already eager to spend more time in the building and get to know everyone, so if you see me around, don’t hesitate to say hello!

HELP STOP BULLYING - RACHEL'S CHALLENGE

Bullying and being unkind is becoming so prevalent in our schools and in our communities. Rachel's challenge focuses on bringing kindness back into the schools. Below is a little information on Rachel’s Challenge.

Rachel’s Challenge was created after the Columbine High School shooting in honor of Rachel Scott and the other victims lost on that terrible day. Rachel’s Challenge envisions schools full of hope, free from harassment, violence, and self-harm, where teachers are free to teach and students are inspired to learn.
