The Ben Franklin office is typically open 8-4pm Monday through Thursday and 8-12pm on Fridays during the summer months. If you are planning to stop by, please call 701-446-3600 first.

Back to School/ Meet the Teachers Night for all grades is Tuesday, August 22nd from 5:00-7:30pm.

The first day of school is Monday, August 28th, 2023.

Join us Monday, June 5th, at 6pm for the next PTO meeting in the library at Ben Franklin. We’ll elect new officers and talk about next year’s fun. There’s candy!

Watch for information in July or August for your chance to help with orientation, Back-to-School Night, and school pictures.

Our eighth graders missed the normal transition from elementary to middle school due to the pandemic. Now, our best wishes go with them as they move from middle school to high school.

Anyone planning on participating in sports next year…now is the time to get your "sports physical". You need a new one every year. If you get one done now, it will be good for the 2023-2024 school year. Don’t wait until August to get your Sports Physical. Get a copy to Ms. Jacobson in the office. You could email a copy to jacobsl@fargo.k12.nd.us.

We still have some yearbooks from this year left to sell. Please call 701-446-3600 to arrange a time to pick one up. They are $15.

Parents of 7th Graders:

If you have not updated your 7th graders vaccines, summer is a great time to do this. The Tdap and MCV4 vaccines are now required before entering 7th grade. When these are completed, please get a copy to the school. Drop off or email to: bfnurse@fargo.k12.nd.us

Medication Reminders:

If your student will be taking medication 2023-24 school year and has a doctor’s appointment this summer:

* please get a prescription for the medication from your provider. You may also ask the pharmacy to make a 2nd bottle that will be labeled appropriately for administering at school.

* Parent needs to bring the medication and prescription to the school nurse before the first day of school.

* If your student should need to take medication at school anytime during the year, please get a prescription from the provider, original bottle from the pharmacy (no zip bags or envelopes!) and parent, please bring to the school nurse.

You may subscribe to Ben Franklin's Newsletter and Daily Announcements on our website by going to “Content E-Alerts” on our website. Parents/guardians can sign up to receive alerts about new Daily Announcements, Newsletters, etc., for each school your students attend. E-Alerts are sent to users who have subscribed to a homepage or website section of interest. You will receive an email notification that content has been modified.

You may also want to add our school calendar to your personal calendar. This will help you stay informed about all the activities that are happening at Ben Franklin.
