Study Topics

10.1 Bond Update

Caty Roland, CFO and Anne Noble, Stifel Finance, presented the Board of Education an update on the status of the District's outstanding bond issuances, capacity for future borrowing, and school district county tax rate information.

10.2 UHS - Band Room Expansion Project Update

Members from the Band Booster Fundraising Committee, Karen Debauche, and Deborah Larson, shared a brief update with the Board of Education on the current status of their fundraising efforts for the band room expansion project, titled "Urbana Bands: Room to Grow."

The committee has already raised approximately $50,000 towards their goal of $100,000 for the project. The Board of Education entered into a brief discussion regarding their commitment to the project and their approval to supplement it with facility sales tax dollars. The Board also gave Superintendent Ivory-Tatum approval to reengage our architect to begin the project's design phase.

10.3 Sola Gratia Farm - Farm to School Update

Fiona Munro, Sola Gratia, and Sheena Sagady, USD116 Farm to School Coordinator, will give a presentation on the current activities of the Farm to School Program with the Board of Education.
