FCCPS’ Lookahead Friday Decision
The Lookahead is based on the FCCPS Health Metrics Dashboard and Thresholds.
Final decisions are announced on Fridays.
COHORT 1: Special Populations
Current week: Hybrid Instruction
Outlook: As not all of our Key Indicators are RED - Cohort 1 will remain in Hybrid next week.
COHORT 3: Secondary/Grades 6-12
Current Week: Virtual
Outlook: The Regional Composite Data continues to remain at the RED or Highest Risk level. The Virginia Department of Health has revised the % Positive rate for the last 5 days to BELOW the Virtual Threshold. Rates must remain below the threshold for 7 straight days in order to return to hybrid.
Cohort 3 will remain in Virtual next week*. If rates continue to stay below the threshold, we will look to return to Hybrid the week of January 25th.
SPECIAL NOTE 1/15/2021
The data is currently trending in the right direction, but we are NOT there yet...PLEASE continue to “hunker down” over the next few weeks, and we MAY be able to return sooner rather than later. We will follow the metrics and data, and now it's up to us to follow through and keep the numbers going down.
ABOUT THE LOOKAHEAD
- Each Wednesday, we will give an update on the current data, and each Friday, we will do a final weekly review of the data and make a decision for a given cohort for the following week.
- * We will look at the previous 7-10 days of data (depending on the cohort metric), including the previous weekend.
- The decision to "Go No-Go" for each cohort will be communicated at the end of the day Friday.
- We recognize that the timing of the announcement for the following week will be a challenge. Still, in this environment, we want to remain as flexible as possible to return students as soon as the data allows.
Possible Impact Due to Staff COVID-19 Vaccinations
