This week, we’d like to celebrate and congratulate Provo High Teacher Kaylee Smedley for receiving the Provo Way Award. Society expects great teachers to be part-time architects and part-time counselors all the time– from building structured units that account for state standards through cumulative, engaging experiences to providing support and resources, aiding help students navigate their academic, personal, and emotional journeys, it seems too much– yet Smedley manages it all with grace.

Under the direction of the Superintendent, all contracted employees who anticipate retiring at the end of the 2023-2024 school year are notified that anyone who formally confirms, in writing, their retirement plans on or before noon of December 18, 2023 will be eligible to receive two and one-half percent (2.5%) based on the employee's gross annual contracted salary to be paid in a lump sum upon retirement from Provo City School District as an incentive for early retirement notifications. How many grams of added sugar is recommended for a child? Aim for less than 25 grams (about 6 teaspoons) of added sugar per day for children 2 years of age and older.
