Sunset Ridge Weekly Update

Thank you to everyone that participated in our Sponsor a Reader fundraiser. We surpassed our goal and raised over $20,000! Tomorrow, we celebrate on Read Across America Day with special guest readers and reading together as a school. Winners will also be announced.

Spring conferences will be held on March 9th - 11th. These will be minimum days for all students.

Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to meet with them. Report cards will be sent out on March 11th.

Do you love working with kids? We are hiring a 5 hour paraprofessional to work with our Special Day Class. The hours are great! 8:15 to 1:45 and the kids are amazing. You will be part of an amazing team.

Our Crossing Guard position is only two hours a day. 8:15 to 9:15 and 1:45 to 2:45. Please call the office at 650-738-6687 if you are interested. We can help with you the application process.

We are excited to be celebrating 20 years of educating children. If you attended Sunset Ridge or know of someone who did, please send us a video letting us know what you are doing now and a favorite memory you have of Sunset Ridge. We will compile all the videos and share them with our kids. Please email videos to ecundiff@pacificasd.org.

PAWS stands for Problem Solver, Always Kind, Willing to Try, and Staying Safe. Kids that are caught doing one of these activities are awarded a PAWS Point. Students get a postcard delivered to their home thanking them for doing a great job. We also have a tower that we fill up with the PAWS Point tickets and when it gets filled up, the entire school will celebrate for everyone's hard work. This week's winners are:

This award is given to students who have shown outstanding participation in their classes. They engage in learning by asking questions being an active participant in conversations and activities in a positive way. Children can only be nominated for this award by their classroom teacher. Winners are given a certificate and a lollipop that is personally delivered to their home. This week’s winners are:

Este premio se otorga a los estudiantes que han demostrado una participación destacada en sus clases.
