Student Hunger Drive - Down to the Last Bites!
Hello everyone!
We have loading day (where we deliver all donations to Riverbend Foodbank) on Thursday. That gives us only a few more days to collect donations for this year! We have noticed that sometimes we don't always get the most nutritious or favorable food donated (we understand and appreciate all donations). However for MONDAY - WEDNESDAY we want to focus on donating MEALS - introducing MEAL MARATHON! Think about what YOU would want to eat if you had to eat a non-perishable food item and didn't have other supplies to spruce it up. The food bank has told us that mac and cheese, pasta-roni, chili, soup, peanut butter and cereal are all really popular items that are great for donations. These items work as a full meal with canned veggies as a side. Not things like flour, sugar or condiments at this time.
How can you help?
PLEASE share on social media/talk to friends and family about a last minute donation of this kind. We are not interested in things like flour, sugar or condiments at this time. If you don't have items like this to donate, we are happy to take online, cash or check donations up until Wednesday! All donations can be collected in your 3rd block class competition, commons, main office, or any BCSD school.
