Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees call for May bond election
The Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted Wednesday, February 7, to call a bond election for May 6, 2023. The $324,607,052 bond proposal with a no tax rate increase.
Rebecca Beach, a parent and member of the District's 2023 Pre-Bond Committee, presented the bond recommendation to the Board of Trustees. The ballot contains a single proposition driven by growth. Jarrell ISD's current enrollment is more than 3,400 students. Enrollment numbers are projected to increase to more than 5,000 by the 2024-25 school year.
The bond proposal includes two new elementary schools, a new middle school, additions and renovations to Jarrell High School for Career and Technical Education and general classroom space, the Ag Barn, Gymnasium, and Fine Arts. The proposal also includes upgrades to the Paw Prints Facility, District Operations Center, enhanced technology infrastructure, security upgrades, land, and additional school buses and transportation vehicles.

Play-Off Information
The JHS Boys Basketball team is heading to the Bi-District Play-Offs.
It's the 19th year in a row the team earned this accomplishment.
The game is this Monday, February 20th at Lake Belton High School.

FFA Pet Vaccine Clinic
Mark Your Calendars
JHS FFA students will host a pet vaccine clinic next month. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Jarrell FFA Chapter.

Jarrell Library and Resource Center Outreach Programs

Farmers Market at JISD
The Farmers Market at JISD, is the first Saturday of every month. You can get up to 25 lbs of fresh produce for free! It's open to anyone at no cost to you!
It is at 508 N 5th St from 9 to 11 am.
Free COVID-19 Testing
The Jarrell Library is offering free COVID-19 testing.
Adult ESL Classes
