Each year Caddo Mills ISD participates in 212 Day. This year at Griffis Elementary we are going to help our local Salvation Army.

We will be collecting the items to donate to the Salvation Army.

FEBRUARY LUNCH ON THE LAWN IS CANCELLED DUE TO PREDICTED WEATHER.

Our next scheduled Parent Lunch on the Lawn is Friday, March 18th.

Lunch times are listed below. You may bring food for your child or they can get a tray from the cafeteria. You may park in the front or back of Griffis and enter by the soccer fields. Please arrive early so that you have plenty of time to get settled in before your child’s lunch time. We are looking forward to seeing you!

If the weather does not permit, the lunch will not be rescheduled and will resume the next month.

We are excited to announce that CMISD will have their second Elementary Track Meet this year for 3rd-5th grade. This event will be held on Friday, March 18th after school. Try outs for the events will be during your child's PE class. Students who are selected will be sent home with an invitation to participate in the Track Meet.

Griffis Robo did a fantastic job competing in their tournament. Team A and C advanced to the finals. Team A received the Design Award, which qualifies them for the State Competition. The teams are preparing for their upcoming tournament. Keep up the good work!

Caddo Mills ISD Job Fair

Each month, we will focus on a particular character trait. Mrs. Wygal will give daily announcements regarding that trait to help the students put it into action. At the end of the month, each teacher will pick a student from their class that they feel has best demonstrated that trait. Those students will be recognized as the Character Students of the Month. The trait for the month of February is compassion. Also, please see the monthly parent newsletter below.

Students not in the building by the 8:00 A.M. bell are considered tardy. Please refer to our campus handbook regarding our tardy policy. If your child is tardy, please do not drop your child off. For their safety, your child should be signed in. Please come to the front to sign them in.

New guidance from the United States Department of Agriculture allows all students to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost during the 2021 - 2022 school year.

With this announcement, CMISD will continue to process applications for the free breakfast and lunch program. This will ensure qualifying students will receive free lunch and breakfast during the first 30 days of the 2022 - 2023 school year. Applications will be sent home at the beginning of the school year and will also be available at each campus.

We want to show our appreciation for our WATCHDOGS that volunteered the month of September. Our students enjoy the time and high fives. Thank you for spending the day with us!
