Picture Make Up And Retake Day-November 1
Picture make up and retake day will take place on November 1st. Students needing a retake should bring their original picture package to the photographer. The picture package will be reprinted with the retake image.

Student Council Coat Drive
Student Council will be hosting a winter coat drive for Cradles to Crayons beginning this Thursday, October 27th until Friday, November 4th. Please encourage students to bring in gently used winter gear (coats, gloves, hats, boots, snow pants) to help children in need in the Chicago area. Students can place items in the bin located near the main office.

Cultural Awareness Week
Cultural Awareness Week is January 30th to February 3rd, 2023, and International Night is Thursday, February 2nd, 2023. The annual event celebrates the rich cultural heritage of our school community. International Night is scheduled on the same evening as Open House and includes a parade, dances and ethic food tables. Please fill out the International Night participation form:

Electronic Device Policy
Cell phones and other electronic devices are to be powered off and kept in the student’s locker during the school day. Any digital communications device (e.g., “smart” watch, GPS tracker, etc.) must be kept in the student’s locker during the school day.

Campus Reminders
Be a Safe Driver!
· Park legally – don’t block crosswalks or double park
· Respect school neighbors –please do not park in or block their driveways.
· Parents and children should not use the Staff parking lot
· Do not make U-turns or turn around in driveways.
· “Attended” parkers must stay in their vehicles at all times.
· Obey “kiss ’n go” zones on Prospect Avenue

BE A GOOD ROOSEVELT NEIGHBOR AND HOLD ONTO YOUR MASK
Please remember to hold onto your mask when on school grounds to prevent stary masks from ending up in any of the yards surrounding Roosevelt. Thank you!

If your student/students need to change their regular daily routine please take the following steps:

Dress Code Guideline Reminders
eneral guidelines include: Decent and appropriate coverage of the body, including the midriff, is expected. Clothing must cover undergarments and must be opaque (i.e., not see-through). Hats or hoods should not be worn in the school building. Students may wear a hat or hood at recess.
