Boys Power Lifting Results
Jake Beaird, Braden Robertson, and Payton Hetrick competed in the Region 6 Division 1 Power Lifting Championship at Keller Central High School.
Jake Beaird placed 2nd in the 220 lb weight class totaling 1480 Ibs. Braden Robertson won the 198 lb. weight class totaling 1435 lbs. Peyton Hetrick achieved personal records in all three lifts: the squat, bench and dead lift.
As a team the boys placed 4th overall, getting edged out by Dallas Jesuit by one point for the 3rd spot. This was in a field of over 46 teams.
Jake Beaird and Braden Robertson have advanced on to the State Meet in Abilene March 25th.
Joshua Track Meet Results
The JV and Varsity Lady Roo track teams traveled to Joshua last night for a meet. The JV team took 4th and the Varsity team finished 1st. Top finishers are listed below:

Boys Varsity Baseball Results
This past Tuesday, the varsity baseball team opened up district play against the 12th ranked team in the state, Keller High. Mason Hilton got the start and went 6 shut out innings striking out 11 and allowing 2 hits. Other top players were Pierce Morris, Amon Pool, Nick Rodriquez, and DeMarcus Gratts. The win made Weatherford 1-0 in district and 9-8 on the year.
Then last Friday, The team traveled to Keller High School. The Kangaroos fell short 2-1. Top players were Blake Burrows, Lukas Loran, and Nick Rodriguez. The loss evens the Roos record at 9-9 overall and 1-1 in district. The Roos will be back in action Tuesday night at Keller Central at 7:30 PM.
Girls Varsity and JV Soccer Results
The Varsity Lady Roos traveled to Haltom the Friday before spring break and came away with a 4-0 win. Top players included Shanna Young, Kaylin Mooney, Lally Vazquez, Juni Ejere, and Gabbie Huggins. This win came on the heels of the previous week against Abilene for Senior Night where they came away 2-1 with a win. Impressive plays were made by Juni Ejere and Sylvia Watson.
The JV Lady Roos tied Haltom 1-1 Friday. Top players included Madison Purefoy, Bailey Beckner. This tie followed their last victory over Abilene 4-2 where top players were Purefoy, Beckner, Kinzey Haley, and Hailey Maloy.
TSA Competition Results
WHS's Technology Students Association (TSA) traveled to Graham High School and competed in the Red River Regional TSA contest.

FFA - Decatur Invitational Competition Results
The WHS Vet Med Team placed 1st at the Decatur Invitational. Team members and their individual rank: Aleesha Barrett (1st), Shelby Smith (5th), Lili Castleberry (9th), Katy Rowe, Madison Thomas, James Scott, Clara Conlon, Kassidy Schwarz, Makaylee Thompson, Mickinzie Rhine, and Katie Johns.
The WHS Poultry Team placed 9th. Team Members: Dakota Herbin, Hope Martinez, Sara Osborne, and Dalton Sexton.

FFA - Anson Invitational Judging Contest Results
The Weatherford FFA Wildlife, Cotton, and Range teams competed in the Anson Invitational Judging Contests. The Wildlife Team (Braden Robertson, Cooper Coffee, Scotty Vaughan, Elijah Dean, Jake Beaird, and Makenzie Hughes) placed first at the competition, with Vaughan being the contest's highest scorer, and Beaird finishing second.
The Cotton team (Ashton Smith, Colton Sorrells, Aaron Markwardt, Andy Wiley) placed 5th overall, and Markwardt scored a personal best and finished 4th overall.
The Range team (Madeline Dinkins, Carter Tourne, Brad Slovak, Connor Martin, Cora Cocke, and Mikenley McBride) finished as a team in the top 10.
