Be sure to come out to learn more about my vision and plans for continuing excellence at Marthasville Elementary! Meet the Principal
My teaching career began in 2004 in St. Louis City after graduating from the University of
Missouri-St. Louis with her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. After teaching 1st and 4th grades for three years, I transferred back to Jefferson County to teach in the Northwest R-1 School District, my Alma Mater. I taught students across many grade levels for the next nine years. I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Administration in 2017 and soon after transitioned into Administration at House Springs Elementary and High Ridge Elementary in Northwest.
I am honored to have the opportunity to continue leading, empowering, and inspiring students and staff at Marthasville Elementary. My passion for education involves providing an exciting, rigorous, safe learning environment for all students. My commitment to building positive relationships and leading by example will go hand in hand while exuding Blue Jay pride. The Washington community has high standards and is known for its dedication to student excellence and achievement. I look forward to serving Marthasville Elementary and representing the Washington School District in the highest regard.
I married my high school sweetheart, Jim, who teaches and coaches in the Rockwood School District. We have two daughters, Hannah and Heidi. Hannah is a recent graduate of Eureka High School and is enlisted in the Navy as an Engineman. Heidi is a 7th grade student in Rockwood as well. We currently reside in Pacific, Missouri on a beautiful lake in the LaBarque Creek Conservation area.
I look forward to getting to know the staff, students, families, and community members of Marthasville Elementary. Building strong, genuine relationships is a one of my main goals. I understand the importance of honoring and maintaining the unique aspects that make Marthasville a special place. With your support and partnership, Marthasville will continue to be a wonderful place!
If you ever need to reach me, please don't hesitate to call or email me. I am excited to get this new year started! Have a FANTASTIC rest of your summer, August 15th will be here soon!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kristen Daffron
