Safety Reminders: Drop off and Pick Up Procedures
Safety Reminders: Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures!
Safety Reminders: Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures!
Safety is our top priority and we want to ensure that everyone follows these guidelines to keep our students safe. Please take note of the following important reminders:
Sidewalks and Crosswalks: Students are required to use sidewalks and crosswalks at all times. Crossing the street safely is essential. Do not attempt to cross the two lanes of traffic to reach the parking lot across the street or enter a vehicle in the exit-only lane.
Enter and Exit from the Designated Lane: To prevent accidents, students should always enter or exit vehicles from the drop-off/pick-up lane. This practice is essential to avoid any potential danger from cars in the exit-only lane.
Crossing the Street: During dismissal, students must proceed to the crosswalk and wait for assistance to safely cross the street. Please be patient and follow these procedures diligently.
Consequences: To ensure the safety of all students, Kickboard points will be deducted for those who refuse to adhere to our safety procedures. Repeatedly ignoring these procedures may result in referrals.
Parents, we kindly request your assistance in keeping our drop-off and pick-up area safe. Please avoid picking up or dropping off your child from the exit-only lane. This practice helps maintain order and prevents potential hazards.
Your cooperation in following these guidelines is greatly appreciated. Please take a moment to discuss these procedures with your child(ren).
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and organized drop-off and pick-up process for our students.

Focus Groups with our 9th and 10th graders
Working with Our Students to Be "Great by Design"
We are working with our 9th and 10th grade students to be Great by Design. The success of CMIT would not be possible without the amazing students we have at our school. We have developed a focus group of 9th and 10th grade students to help us understand how we can continue writing their individual and our collective success story.
One of the things we discussed is our core values and operating out of our core values. At CMIT, our students are: responsible, respectful, resilient, diverse, courageous, and industrious. We expect all the members of our learning community to operate out of that identity. We completed an exercise that is intended to help with cognitively defusing oneself from unhealthy, unproductive thoughts and identity. Whatever challenges were faced in the first quarter can be overcome by identifying with our core values.
Looking forward to seeing our students courageously face challenges this year and resiliently persevere and grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Hey Tigers,
One of our very own has Mastered it! Mrs. Johnson, Algebra 1 math teacher has received her master’s in Educational Leadership. She is focused on continuing to encourage her students to be successful in Algebra 1 while assisting leadership in whatever tasks they need.
Congratulations Mrs. Johnson. Your CMIT family is proud of you.
Ms. Coholic's BioGeoChem Classes
Students have entered the Formation of the Solar System unit. We will be investigating the evidence for extra-solar system star-planet systems and accretion disk formation in nebulae. We will also transition to the formation of the mineral content of the Earth's crust in upcoming weeks. This is a large unit and will take up the majority of the 2nd quarter while transitioning to the geologic factors that affect human activity on Earth.

Salesforce Club
In our Salesforce certification program, as we delved into Chapter 1, "Getting Started with Salesforce and CRM," my students and I embarked on a journey of discovery. This initial chapter served as the foundation upon which we built our Salesforce expertise. We began by unraveling the fundamental concepts of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), understanding its significance in today's business landscape, and realizing how Salesforce plays a pivotal role in this domain.
One of the key takeaways from Chapter 1 was gaining insights into the contrasting worlds of Classic and Lightning User Interfaces. We learned how Salesforce has evolved over time, and how the Lightning UI offers a more modern and intuitive user experience, paving the way for greater efficiency in managing customer relationships.
Another vital skill we honed was the ability to seamlessly log in and navigate the Salesforce platform. Learning how to access Salesforce and move around its interface is essential for anyone aiming to make the most out of this powerful tool.
Chapter 1 also equipped us with the tools to efficiently search for records within Salesforce, a skill crucial for finding relevant customer data swiftly. By mastering these search techniques, we gained a valuable asset for enhancing our productivity and providing exceptional service to our clients.
But our journey didn't stop there. As we ventured into Chapter 2, "Understanding Salesforce Activities," we delved deeper into the world of Salesforce by exploring its robust activity tracking capabilities. We discovered the diverse range of activities, from tasks and events to emails and phone calls, and learned how to utilize them across all objects.
Understanding how to effectively utilize activities in Salesforce opened up a world of possibilities. We gained the ability to track and manage interactions with our customers, ensuring that no crucial detail slipped through the cracks. This knowledge empowered us to create more meaningful and productive relationships with our clients.
Our journey continues as we move forward in our Salesforce certification program, eager to unlock new insights and skills that will propel us toward becoming Salesforce experts. With each chapter, we grow more proficient and confident in our ability to harness the full potential of Salesforce for the benefit of our organizations and customers.
