Principal's Note: Summer Time!
Congrats to our 5th graders moving onto 6th grade next year! We hope you enjoyed your virtual awards assembly, dance party and montages last night. Thank you to all who were a part of creating this memory for our incredible 5th graders. Thank you PTO for purchasing 5th grade lawn signs and t-shirts for ALL of our 5th graders!
For those families moving this summer, you will be missed! We wish you the best on your next adventure.
And for our returning Sherwood families, although we have been apart since March, the Sherwood staff STILL has been planning for an amazing fresh start to our next school year. The background of this newsletter and the picture you see are your first clues! Shine bright Pandas!
Since we couldn't sign yearbooks in person, we created a virtual Sherwood staff yearbook signing page for our students to add to their memory books! Thanks to Mrs. Nekritz for organizing this for Sherwood! CLICK HERE
Because I can't say goodbye in person, please check out the video below. Have a wonderful summer Pandas!

Student Materials Pick Up Information 6/10/20
The time has come to gather your child's belongings from Sherwood! We will provide families with opportunities to pick up student belongings and/or drop off items belonging to the school on Wednesday, June 10th. Please note that we will not be accepting iPads and Chromebooks at this time. Most students will keep their devices throughout the summer; 2nd and 5th graders will exchange their devices at a separate event that will be held in July. Class composites will be included with your child's items, IF we receive them in time. If they are not mailed to Sherwood in time for our pick up event, we will mail 5th grade composites and distribute all other composites in the fall. Our PTO is in the midst of organizing yearbook distribution for all families.
We want to make sure the exchange of materials is as safe as possible for ALL:
- Materials pick up and drop off will take place in the front of the building in the front circle.
- This is a curbside event.
- Please follow our typical traffic pattern as if you were picking up your child from school. The only difference is that all cars will come through the front circle as the final destination. There will be staff outside directing traffic. Please be safe!
- PRIOR to arriving at the school, place a sign in your passenger window indicating your child(ren)'s full name(s) in BOLD. This will help us to quickly retrieve your child’s belongings.
- If there are items you need to return to school (ex: library books, instruments, etc.), please place those items in a bag labeled with your child’s full name, grade and teacher. Please place the bag in your trunk.
- As you pull up in the front circle, please have your trunk open. Staff will ONLY remove BAGGED items that need to be returned and/or will put your child’s school bagged belongings in your trunk.
- Exit the line as soon as you have received your items.
ADDITIONAL Safety Guidelines:
You may only come to school during your scheduled times.
You must remain in your vehicle at all times.
