    Meet Mrs. Baumtrog

    Hello! I am Natasha Baumtrog. I teach 2nd grade in Minnewaukan. This is my 5th year in Minnewaukan and my 9th year teaching. I absolutely love teaching in Minnewaukan! My husband and I have two children and a dog. When I am not teaching I love to go for walks, plant flowers, watch Bison football and spend time with my family.

    Counselor's Corner

    How can it already be April?! March may have felt like forever with the cold cold weather and the snow flurries. With the weather stretching on, being cooped up inside for longer and not being able to soak in the suns rays coping skills have become so important to try to stay regulated. All grades identified and learned an array of coping skills that would help them in different moods and situations. We also discussed personal safety and why personal safety is so important. April will be working through size of the problem, mindfulness, and apologies.

    Medicaid Renewals - Stay Covered ND

    Starting April 1, 2023, North Dakota will begin regular Medicaid renewals for people whose coverage was temporarily extended due to the COVID-19 public health emergency to make sure they still qualify.

    This means that some Medicaid members may lose their coverage if they don't take simple steps now.

    Health coverage is critical for children to thrive in school and in life.

    If you care for a child enrolled in ND Medicaid, we may need to contact you to see if they still qualify for coverage. Here are THREE actions you need to take to prepare.

    • Make sure your contact information is correct.
    • Check your mail.
    • Complete your renewal form (if you get one).

    Student of the Month

    Each grade level will be eligible to receive student of the month.

    They will be recognized on the school website and FB page as well as receive a small reward for their accomplishment.


    Student engagement staff will look for when nominating a student of the month:


    • Good Attendance!
    • Completion of Work!
    • Collaborates well with peers and staff!
    • Follows school expectations!
