Model United Nations Team travels to William and Mary
Fifth grade students prepared all year to travel to the Model United Nations conference. These students were the youngest to participate among 800 middle school students from around the United States. Student participants represented various countries during various periods in history. They presented resolutions for change, many of which were passed. Way to go future ambassadors!

We appreciate our Bus Drivers
In partnership with our generous PTA, our bus drivers were surprised daily during bus driver appreciation week with special notes, gifts, food items, etc. to let them know how much the Gator Family appreciates their service.
Science Fair Winners go to the State Competition
Two of our 8 regional competitors were selected to present their science projects at the state competition in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Third grade student Nicholas Griffin's project is entitled, "Stretching to Higher Energy."
Fifth Grade student Aadi Patel's project is entitled, "How Does Food Dffect a diabetic and Non-diabetic Person’s Blood Sugar?"

The National Elementary Honor Society will be collecting food, toys, blankets and towels to donate to the Charlotte Animal Shelter. Items will be collected March 4 through March 17. Items can be dropped off in the lobby of the school.

Jersey Mike's Coupons- A Message from Fifth Grade
Fifth grade is sponsoring a great fundraiser to support their fifth grade field trip to Washington, DC. Last week’s Thursday folders contained a Jersey Mike’s Fundraising Flyer. For each coupon that is redeemed at the Jersey Mike’s on South Tryon, our school will receive $3.00. The coupons are good until March 12th. We hope that you and your family will help support our school by enjoying a night out at Jersey Mike’s on South Tryon. Don’t forget to take your coupons!
