Manor's Message
Crockett Cougars,
Rain, rain go away come again another day!
Our latest spring wet weather might have some of us feeling gloomy wanting to stay in bed, while others might be feeling inspired with all the bluebonnets lining our roadways. The exciting news is that we have another three day weekend with this Friday's student-staff holiday. We hope you get to spend time relaxing and/or rejuvenating with family and/or friends.
As it gets closer to us finishing this school year, there are still plenty of opportunities to connect with our community by supporting fundraisers, Spirit Nights, and joining us for our next Connect with Crockett meeting on April 11th (more details below). We are also thrilled to offer events for students to connect with Crockett and their community during our Club Fair; lining up summer jobs and internships at our Career Fair and celebrating our students at our annual Cougar Gold and Trustee Award Ceremony. We also can't wait to see our seniors dressed to impress at prom and dancing the night away.
In addition to these fun events, we will also be giving the STAAR End of Course (EOC) exams for Algebra I, Biology, US History and English I and II. Testing dates are listed below. On these days, please make sure that students come to school well rested and with a fully charged Chromebook.
As always, I want to thank you as we continue to partner together to ensure our students have met all attendance and graduation requirements.
As author Lucy Maud Montgomery once said, "No spring is ever just like any other spring. It always has something of its own to be its own peculiar sweetness."We look forward to this spring being particularly sweet and Always Victorious!
¡Si Se Puede!
Proud Principal,
Kori Manor

The District Values your opinion!
Crockett Community,
Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying Austin ISD families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district effectiveness. To ensure we continue to provide high-quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.
To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2022 Family Survey. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses confidential. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as good as they can be.
You may complete the survey online between March 21, 2022 and April 8, 2022 using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website
surveys.panoramaed.com/austinisd/family
We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses.

Black Student Alliance Fundraiser
Hello Cougars!
This school year the Black Student Alliance is making a comeback. We started strong with meetings, planning and were able to put on a successful Black History Month celebration for the campus. At this time, we are working on fundraising, and we are reaching out to our Cougar family to help us out. We currently have a Living Tree Fundraiser running until April 28th. We would appreciate any donations and if you all could share the link or QR code as well.
Every little bit counts!

Multilingual Guides on Helping Kids Cope
Life is full of ups and downs. It is normal for our emotional state to change on a day-to-day basis and in periods throughout our lives. Many difficult situations, like the death of a loved one or the COVID-19 pandemic, are unavoidable. When our minds are healthy and strong, we are more resilient to life’s challenges, able to use healthy coping methods, have better relationships, maintain our overall health and well-being, and prevent chronic illnesses. That’s why it is important to be proactive about our mental health! Check out these videos in English and Spanish to see examples of families having conversations about mental health in their daily lives!
Spotlight on Loneliness and Isolation
As National PTA and Learning Heroes’ recent poll—A Year Into the Pandemic: Parents’ Perspectives on Academics, Assessments and Education— found, “more than 7 in 10 parents (72%) indicated they worried ‘a lot’ or ‘some’ about their child missing out on important social interactions at school or with friends, more than any other issue/topic.” Check out these resources to better understand what loneliness and isolation can look like and what your family can do about it.
What is Loneliness & Isolation? (documento en español) – Strengthen your understanding of loneliness and isolation and learn about their risk factors.
Loneliness & Isolation Assessment Tool (documento en español) – Use this form to determine your child's risk factors for loneliness and isolation symptoms, and if they need help.
If you need more support, please reach out to your child’s counselor at Crockett or check the PTA Healthy Minds: Community Resource Finder.
