Principal's Message
Happy First Week of October!
Thank you to our families, staff, and community for your support and patience as we navigate our return to campus. I truly appreciate each and every person on our campus and feel grateful to be a part of this campus. A big THANK YOU to all that returned the Household Income Forms to teachers or office. There is one additional form that comes out in October called Federal Forms. Typically, this form is sent out around the second week of October. Please be on the lookout for this form and promptly return it to the teacher or front office.
Our office would like to Welcome Ms. Griselle Guerrero to our Hueneme Elementary family. *Reminder* if you are picking up in the office, we may ask for identification as we are getting to know all of our new families and who picks up. We want to ensure that students are being released to the proper adults. We thank you in advance for your patience.
*Reminder* If possible, please schedule appointments after the school day. This will help both teacher and student with academics.
With thanks,
Mrs. Shallenberger
Entering School: For the 2021-2022 school year, we will have BOTH GATES OPEN as in past years. If your child is having breakfast, please have them enter at the back cafeteria gate from 7:40-7:55. Upper grade students can enter that gate as well. Primary students are welcome to enter on the Clara St. gate. Both gates close promptly at 8:00. Late arrivals should report to the office for a tardy slip and temperature scan.
There is NO supervision prior the gate opening. Please do not drop students off earlier than 7:40. Thank you!
Student Symptom Tree: *Update* Please do a passive screening with your child prior to coming to school. If you notice any of the symptoms on the flyer(see link below), your child may not be able to come onto campus. Please call the office if you have any questions.
