A Message from the Administrative Team
Greenwood Students and Families:
The first semester is winding down; please make sure your student is staying up to date on their academics. The first semester and 3rd quarter grades are used to determine Honor Roll status.
Congratulations to Dr. Slater, Mr. Lawley, and our Greenwood music students on an outstanding performance at the Winter Concert. Greenwood is blessed to have outstanding instructors along with a tremendous amount of talented students. Well done!
Donuts with the Director will be held next Friday (Dec. 9) morning in the back room of the library for all new parents of Greenwood. This includes all grades, K-12, including our new kindergarten parents. This is simply a time to connect with others and provide some feedback to administration. The library will be open from 7:30 am to 8:30 am on December 9 and donuts and beverages will be provided. We hope to see you there.
The annual COOKIE EXCHANGE is next Thursday, December 8 in the afternoon. This is one of our favorite traditions at Greenwood! We appreciate all of the wonderful “goodies” provided to our faculty/staff on this day. Parents are reminded they can simply drop off their treats during car line in the morning of December 8.
Some of our teachers have been putting together enrichment classes for over the break, check them out and consider signing up for them. The courses incorporate learning and students are able participate in some fun projects! Sign up on STOREFRONT on our website.
Our holiday tournaments are a storied tradition at Greenwood. Please come and support our tournaments, and teams, at the Greenwood Blue and Gold tournament and the Greenwood/SPS Pink and White Lady Classic. Each is held in the week between Christmas and New Year’s. Brackets will be released soon.
Our thanks to Mike Blake, our overnight custodian, and all his elves that helped decorate the school for the holidays! We appreciate the extra effort and the students and staff have thoroughly enjoyed the holiday atmosphere.
Winter weather means a lot more coats, hats, jackets, etc. coming to school and therefore the possibility of misplacing one of these items. Please write your student’s name on ALL of their belongings so we can return the items to the proper person.
Go Blue Jays!
