Medical Ethics Careers
with the Catholic Health Association--an information session
Lunch Information Session (for any) and individual interviews (for some) with CHA
Please join us for a lunch information session on Wednesday, October 29 from 12:30-1:20 with Father Thomas Nairn from the Catholic Health Association (Room TBA). Father Nairn is the Senior Director of Ethics at the Catholic Health Association, USA. He is here hoping to meet with students that might consider careers in Catholic Health Ethics. The lunch session is open to first, second and third year students. He will also meet individually with selected graduating seniors that are either studying Ethics and respectful of Roman Catholic theology, or practicing Roman Catholics that are studying religion in any form.
A sandwich/salads lunch will be provided to those that RSVP. (On eventbrite it reads as "tickets" but it's really just an RSVP)
If you are a graduating senior at YDS OR a Yale GSAS PhD in Ethics graduate and would like the opportunity to interview with Father Nairn, please submit your resume or CV to susan.olson@yale.edu by October 22.
Father Nairn will also speak with non-Divvies on Tuesday evening, October 28, at Saint Thomas More chapel. If you are unable to make YDS' event and would like to go to STM's please contact susan.olson@yale.edu for information on how to RSVP with STM (or just RSVP with them if you are a member of that community). The STM event will be focused on those in health fields (public health, nursing, medicine) and law.

- You will be notified if you have received an opportunity to interview.
- If there are extra interview slots available by October 23, those will be made available to students elsewhere at Yale (EPH, Law, PhD other than Ethics), and non-graduating students.
- If more Divinity students apply than there is room for interviews, Father Nairn will choose interviewees from the pool. This is an informational interview only, but having a personal contact can only help your application when specific positions are open later (and he does expect to have vacancies later).
