Message from Mrs. Gilbert & Mr. Ramalho
Our end of the year calendar of events is quite full. Thank you to all those families who are helping make these memorable occasions happen. Our Fit for Cure event this past week was highly successful and raised $1420 for St. Jude. Thank you for your generosity.
We look forward to Kindergarten Orientation for parents on May 9th and will share all the wonderful aspects of South Row, including our supportive family network with these new families.
Engineering Day for grade 3 is fast approaching. If you are able to volunteer for this STEM event and/or donate materials needed for the activities please see below for more information.
Enjoy your weekend.
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson

PLEASE check with the main office ahead of time to make sure you have a current CORI on file.
Items needed that you may have at home:
- scraps of yarn or narrow ribbon
- a box fan (to borrow or donate - there are classrooms that could use them when it gets warm)
- empty 20oz water/soda bottles (stiff ones like Dasani bottles that bounce back after being squeezed)
You can send these items in to school, drop them at the office, or drop them in the collection bin at Jo Shaw's house - 171 Mill Rd..
For the items you are less likely to have lying around, we have set up an Amazon wishlist. The list is set to send the items to Jen's home so that they won't get misplaced at school or overtake the office.

Nurses Corner
Dear South Row Families,
We had a bit of an uptick of illnesses this week. If your child is out sick please let me know what the symptoms are so I can watch for trends in classrooms. For example, instead of saying “stomach bug” , say vomiting. “Stomach bug”, “cold, and “flu” mean different things to different people. You can also leave this information on the absentee line if you feel comfortable doing so. My email address is vandevoordts@chelmsford.k12.ma.us
If your child has a fever (temperature of 100 F or higher) they must remain out of school until they have been fever free without fever-reducing medication for 24 hours.
Third Grade Parents: Please send in your student’s 2022/2023 physical exam if you have not already done so.
Fourth Grade Parents: If I reached out to you requesting an updated physical, please send that in at your earliest convenience.
Have a great week!
Warmly,
Nurse V.
PTO Corner
Thank you to everyone that came out to our last PTO meeting of the school year last week. During that meeting we elected the executive board for the 2023-2024 school year. A HUGE thank you to our outgoing board volunteers Denille Ruth, Kate Fredette, and Fofe Vasquez! These ladies brought so much to South Row this year and are large shoes to fill. The PTO Board elect are Liz Haugner and Beth Wojtas as co-presidents, Ashley Cakounes as VP, Courtney Cooper is treasurer, and Leanne Needham is Secretary. Thank you to all the new board volunteers, it will be a great year!
Another HUGE thank you is needed for our raffle basket coordinator Kate Fredette and our Dance Coordinators Sarah Mackie, Leanne Needham, and Tricia Lesniewski. More updates from the event will be shared next week!
