Map Testing Information
Dear Parents/Guardians,
In late April and early May, our students will be taking the MAP test. They have diligently worked all year to make great strides in all academic areas. Now, they have the opportunity to show all that they have learned through their performance on the MAP test.
I want to thank you in advance for helping your child to do their best on the test. Here are a few ways you can make sure that the MAP test reflects their true academic abilities.
Be aware of our MAP calendar. Have your child at school each day they are scheduled to test.
Be certain that your child has had adequate rest. This may mean getting them used to an earlier bedtime during the weeks of testing.
Be on time for school.
Avoid scheduling appointments that can be done at a later date.
Dress your child in layered clothing. This way, your child may add clothing to get warmer or remove some clothing to be cooler.
Help your child have a positive attitude.
We are working on providing a movie incentive for students this year! The teachers have shared with the students how they can earn this incentive. Each testing day, students are expected to be in attendance, have their Chromebook charged, work hard, and not be a distraction both during testing sessions and while other classes are testing.
Please encourage your child to work towards this incentive. We would love to have 100% of students qualify.
If you have any questions, feel free to call anytime.
Sincerely,
Matt Nimmo
