Students with 7 or more absences will provide a doctor's excusal for each absence. Parents should send medical excusals to the classroom teachers when the student returns to school. Medical excusals will be counted as excused absences. Our goal is to ensure that your child's attendance is accurate.

Stop, look and listen here come our mighty teachers!! This classy group met others and represented Grassy Creek at the statehouse on Tuesday.

The purpose of the Town Hall meetings is to provide our community, including our staff, the opportunity to interact with the district to provide input on the future of Warren Schools for our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. It is our goal to develop a comprehensive plan that will ensure all students and staff have the conditions necessary to develop and apply the Journey of a Graduate skills and dispositions. The Journey of a Graduate skills are a set of 6 skills and dispositions that have been identified by our community needed for success in and out of school.

Below are the dates and times of the upcoming Town Hall Meetings. I have also included the survey we are providing as another way to collect our community's input. If you have not completed the survey, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Attached you will find the parent notification letter regarding the child abuse presentations that your building counselors will be implementing. This letter will also be distributed to each student to take home to their parent/guardian.

Breakfast with Santa returns this year! Please save the date! Santa will be at Grassy Creek Saturday December 7th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. $3.00 for pancakes and sausage!

Grassy Creek is selling trash bags again this year as a fundraiser. These are quality bags suitable in size and strength for your trash needs and any yard work needs. These bags are twice as thick as the leading name brand and come in three different sizes. Each roll is $10. Choose from White - 15 gallon (tall kitchen), 65 bags per roll, Yellow or Pink - 39 gallon, 25 bags per roll, or Blue - 55 gallon (super size) 16 bags per roll. Proceeds go directly into our Student Activity Fund and will be used for the students where needed.Thank you in advance for your continued support! Warren's High Ability Program is designed to meet the unique academic needs of gifted and talented students. The curriculum in these classes is differentiated and faster paced and students will be working above grade level if they qualify. As a district, we look at all students in grades 1, 4, 6 and 8 to see if they qualify for the following school year based on eligibility criteria. Parent recommendations are considered along with achievement scores when determining placement in high ability. More detailed identification information can be found here. If you would like to complete a recommendation for the broad based planning committee to consider you can do so here 2020-2021 High Ability Parent Recommendation Form The parent recommendation form will be open until January 31, 2020.

If you are still collecting Box Tops from boxes, bags and cans please continue to do so. We will take them in any form. Send them to school and to the office with your student. See below if you want to go digital.
