The Lady Warriors took the floor for their first regular season game on Friday, December 1st and hosted their 15th annual Methacton Lady Warrior Classic Tip Off Tournament. Friday's game was a tough loss against the eventual tournament champions, the Ridley Raiders. The Warriors were off to a slow start, being down in a score of 14-1 at the end of the first quarter. However, a rally began and increased to only an 8 point deficit. The final score ended in a loss for the Warriors, at 49-21. Junior Abby Arnold led the way with her high score of 6 points, including 4 from the foul line.
On Saturday, the Warriors looked to rebound against Mount Saint Josephs's Academy in their second game. The game ended in a loss for the Warriors, with a final score of 46-42. However, this game was a tough battle, and the Warriors fought extremely hard. Once again, junior Abby Arnold had a career high of 30 points within the game, which included 4 3-point shots. Through the game, the young Lady Warriors showed great resilience after Friday's loss. They will continue to learn from this and work hard to improve throughout the season.

Both days, the girls played with lots of excitement and determination to secure a 37-8 win over Ridley which included 13 points from sophomore Lindsay McCann, 7 points from sophomore Olivia Organtini, and 7 points from Freshman Abby Masatto. Boys Winter Track
The Methacton Boy's Track team kicked off their season with practice last week. The Warriors have a young team with many new athletes still settling into practice. The coaching staff is pleased with how quickly the new athletes are buying into the culture and program.
On the sprints side, the team will have big shoes to fill after graduating two top 10 state finishers and a state medaling 4x4 relay that went on to finish 15th at New Balance Nationals. Junior athlete Yasser Jarhale will be up for the challenge, as he has the potential to compete in 8 different events from the sprints to the jumps. Senior Ray Tai and Sophomore Brody Mellow also bring experience to the group after they both qualified for the PAC championship in the spring.
On the distance end, the Warriors return 8 athletes that qualified for the conference championships last spring. Matt Sandner & Akhil Yeluri bring competitive experience and work ethic to the table after both finishing 5th in the 1600 & 3200 in May. Charlie Reith also ran a stellar 4:36 in the 1600, and will look to make the jump to the next level this year. This group trained hard through the summer and should see their hard work pay dividends in the coming months.
The Warriors will continue to work hard and gear up for their first invitational at Ocean Breeze in two weeks.
